Go to PC Settings, using the PC Settings tile in the Start menu, or swipe in from the right edge of the screen, select Settings, and then select Change PC settings. It lets you store and protect your files, share them with others, and get to them from anywhere on all your devices. OneDrive is the Microsoft cloud service that connects you to all your files. Under Apps & features, find and select Microsoft OneDrive, and then select Uninstall.

You need a Microsoft account to use SkyDrive, although publicly shared files can be accessed by anyone. Developed by Microsoft, SkyDrive offers 7GB of storage space for free, although you can buy more if needed. SkyDrive is a cloud storage service similar to Dropbox and Google Drive. For Windows Live SkyDrive security, the hosted storage is password protected. With this service, users can store and share documents, photos and links. Windows Live SkyDrive is a free online file storage system from Microsoft. In Windows 8.1, SkyDrive is deeply integrated into the OS, giving you the option to open or save files to the cloud storage service from every desktop and Modern app. If you’re prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. Microsoft is renaming its cloud storage service from SkyDrive to OneDrive, after the original name caused trademark problems. Then select Microsoft OneDrive and choose Disable. In the pop-up window, go to the Startup tab. Right-click on the Taskbar and choose Task Manager.
If you want to disable OneDrive, you can choose to disable it on startup.
